Enjoy the struggle

Buddha has long welcomed hardship, but more recently so did a Senior Professor. Why?

It's likely the guy who bent wire to form paper clip would have made a mistake or two... It's a simple, near perfect outcome sure, but nothing worthwhile comes easy. Most over night success takes upwards of 20 years

Consider some, or all, of the following: Your day, your project, your budget, child's birth, a decent meal, a good view, good tunes, your latest discovery. The elements that led to any goal (AKA the result) are often simple (so says Zuckerberg an expert in the otherwise...) but more often there is a - you guessed it... struggle - before it all comes together

2018 Senior Australian of the Year Prof. Graham Farquhar said it best in his acceptance speech when he encouraged others to "struggle". He said getting anywhere can be hard work... especially for the 70-year-old who focuses his work on food security and feeding the world's population. But this Prof. offered everyone the challenge: To struggle, to explore, to try hard and achieve... sound advice full to the brim of Yoyuu

Remember if it's too good to be true - it often is. Easy isn't always the best. Good luck in your inevitable struggle too... Yoyuu bonds us all and means you're never alone

If you can't change the situation, then change the way you think about it... and that's maybe a chance to welcome a new struggle. Maybe some Yoyuu could help you to overcome and appreciate your struggles and to help you thrive - no matter what the world throws at you next
